RUGBY FOOTBALL.
GAME IN OTHER CENTRES. Tlie senior Rugby competitions in Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin have resulted in very close matches, and there appears to be little to choose between the teams. In the Wellington competition, Athletic and University are now leading with 19 points each, having played 12 matches, losing 3 and drawing one. Ghristchurch has won the competition in Canterbury for the first time for 27 years, with 10 points, having lost two matches. Albion, Old Boys, and Merivale are equal in second position with 8 points. Old Boys had won the competition in the three previous seasons. University A is leading in the Dunedin competition with 19 points. It has played 13 matches, won nine, lost three and drawn one. Kaikorai follows closely with 18 points, and Pirates is next with 17.
