QUESTION OF PRESSURE. An offer by the Mount Eden Borough Council to supply water at the mountain pressure at Is 3d per 1000 gallons was accepted by the Mount Roskill Road Board last evening. Mr. Brewer remarked that the experience in Parnell on Monday night showed that a fire-fighting supply was useless without adequate pressure. An offer by the Onehunga Borough Council to supply at tonpence per 1000 gallons was also accepted. The Auckland City Council offered to supply 750,000 gallons a day, but consideration was deferred, the same aotion being takon in regard to an offer by the One Treo Hill Road Board of 1,000.000 gallons a month, pending negotiations as to the cost of connecting.
