WEDDINGS.

A pretty wedding was solemnised at Beresford Street Congregational Church, on Wednesday, when Edith Lillian, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Skinner, Three Kings, Mount Roskill. was married to Francis Herbert, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, of Tauranga. The Rpv. George Jackson officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a pretty frock of white crepe de chine with silver and tulle trimmings. The veil was of embroidered silk net arranged under a coronet trimmed with pearls and orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of roses, heather and maiden-hair fern. Miss Evelyn Skinnei, sister of the bride, was chief bridesmaid, and wore a frock -of salmon pink crepe de chine with trimmings of lace and velvet ribbons. Miss Inez Smith sister of the bridegroom, wore a frock of powder blue crepe de chine with tnrn-min"-s of lace and velvet ribbons. Both wore headwear of tulle and velvet leaves and carried shower bouquets to tone. Mr. Stanley Smith acted as best man and Mr. Samuel Coles as. groomsman. 1

Purdy, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Purdy, of Birkenhead. The Rev. S. Morrison officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming m a swathed gown of ivory brocaded charmeuse ornamented with pearls and diamente suspended from the shoulder. Her veil of Brussels point lace was mounted with silver and orange blossom and caught at the back of the head with pearls and clusters of .orange blossoms. She carried a sheaf of lilies. The bride's younger sister supported her as maid of honour and wore pale pink crepe de chine and silver lace with a headdress of tulle and rosebuds to tone; she carried a posey of pink and red roses; Mr. T. Jury acted as best man.
