AUXILIARY SCHOONER HAUTURU. An arrival at Auckland yesterday afternoon was the Northern Company's new auxiliary schooner Hauturu. She made the Tjoyage from Greenock to Auckland in 65 days at an average speed of 8.1 knots. The vessel was built at Greenock by Messrs. G. Brown and Co., Ltd. Her tonnage is 270 grosß, and she is fitted with twin Bolind.fir ensinek, each of 150 h.p. Her dimensions are:—Length, 133.1 ft..: breadth.27.sft.; "depth, B.7ft. She is built of steel, but otherwise she is similar to the Otimai in design. She has steel decks -with plenty space for deck cargo, and the hold is fitted with a large hatchway.
