TROTTING CLUB'S TRIBUTE.

Feeling reference to the death of the secretary, Mr. C. F Mark, was made at a meeting of the committee of the Auckland Trotting Club The president, Mr. John Rowe, outlined Mr. Mark's career and mentioned his many sterling qualities, both as a sportsman and as a friend. Mr. Mark's services not only to the Auckland Trotting Club, but also to the sport of trotting in New Zealand generally, nad been inestimable. He had lived to see trotting giiow from very small beginnings to its present fine standard, a result to which he had devoted many years of his life with conspicuous success. The president's remarks were warmly endorsed by several speakers, and a motion of sympathy with the widow and family was passed, the members standing.
