STRANGE LUGGERS.

FINDING OF TWO GRAVES.

The launch Wenonah, chartered by the Australian Commonwealth and State Governments, was despatched recently to search for the strange craft seen in the vicinity of Mapoon, some 250 miles west of the coast of tho peninsula. It was reported that the craft had gone northwards and had not since been sighted. The boats were described as two luggers manned by Japanese and Malays, and they hailed from Morauke.

The Wenonah's party found unmistakable evidence of their presence on the mainland, as two members of tho crew had died and the graves were located. There was no evidence that the luggers were contravening the laws of the country.
