Scottish (V,unties, ended today in a draw. The visitors. who had made 304 in their first innings, declared with eight tickets down for 103 in their second. The counties cloven scored 287 in their first venture and 72 for lour wickets in their second, leaving New Zealand 48 ahead on the aggregate. Merritt was in fine form today. In the home side's first innings he secured seven wickets for 74, and in the second one for three. Other features of the day's play were the hatting displays of Haigh and Wood in the Scots' first innings. Haigli's 115 ■were com piled in less than two hours. He hit two sixes and 19 fours. Ihe pair added 124 in 70 minutes. The New Zealanders fared badly in their Second venture, Halley getting four wickets for 31. Merritt's 21 constituted the top score.
