AUCKLAND UNION AFFAIRS. REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES. THE SOUTH AFRICAN VETERANS. The Management Committee of the Auckland Kugby Union met lust evening. Mr. H. Frost presiding. The North Auckland Union wrote con "firming July 2! as the date for a match villi the Auckland representatives at Wha ngarei. The Waikato Union also confirmed a match on the same date at Hamilton. The South African War Veterans' Association wrote asking the Auckland Union to play a special match for the benefit of disabled South African soldiers, the proceeds to be devoted to the South African War Veterans' Benevolent Fund. It was decided that the association should be placed on the list of beneficiaries from Charity Day receipts A protest was received trom the Kaiparn Union against the Waitemata Club playing unregistered members m the Auckland Union's competitions. The protest ,\vas referred to the Waitemata Club for a repoit. A motion, moved by Mr. Courtney, that ail matches in the senior grade in the second round should count for the I'ollard Cup, was referred to a subcommittee tc report at the next meeting.
