MOTOR-CAR DRIVER FINED. ■ [BY TFT. EG RATH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] PAHIATUA, Wednesday. Fines aggregating £27 were imposed by Mr. S. L. P. Free, S.M., on Francis C. Deinpsey for driving his motor-car in a negligent manner, failing to notify an accident, and driving without a licence. Defendant was also prohibited from obtaining a licence for 12 months. The charges arose out of the collision of a car and a motor-cycle one evening several weeks ago at the corner of a road near Ivonini. A youth named Don Reid, who was riding the motor-cycle, was injured and had to have one lopj amputated. Medical evidence was given to the effect that Dempsey had been in bad health for some time.
