TRANSTASMAN FLIGHT.

DISCUSSION IN AUSTRALIA. THE WIDGEON'S CAPABILITIES. Early in April, says the Sydney Sun, the Widgeon took of? from Botany Bay, carrying enough petrol to -arry her to New Zealand. and 300 miles beyond. Just now conditions do not favonr a flight to New Zealand since the distance could hardly be covered in daylight.
