CENTENARIAN'S DEATH.
NINETY YEARS A COLONIST. Miss -Marianne Fisher, South Australia's oldest colonist, died on June 18, thus severing the last living link with the arrival of the Buffalo, which brought the first settlers to South Australia in 1836. She celebrated her hundredth birthday on February 5. A daughter of the late Sir James Hurtle Fisher, she left. England at the age of 10. Even in her old age she could recall incidents of the Buffalo's voyage. She travelled a great deal, and several times visited Great Britain and New Zealand.
