PAPATOETOE CHURCH SOCIAL
There was a very larga attendance ut the social gathering in connection with St. John's Presbyterian Church, Papatoetoe, last evening. The Rev. T. H. Roseveare presided. Songs were rendered by Mrs. McConkie, Miss Woods, Mr. Meikle, flute solos by Mr. Seel, and recitations by Miss Dines. Refreshments v.-ere- served by members of tho choir, and two amusing competitions were held. A presentation was made to Mr. Henderson by Mr. McFarland in recognition of his severing his duties with the choir.
