OBITUARY.
MR. A. H. WHITTINGHAM
(Received June 20, 8,15 p.m.) A. and N.Z BRISBANE. June 20.
The death has occurred of Mr. A. 11. Whittingham. one of Queensland's most prominent pastoralists and sportsmen. He was in his 58th year.
The late Mr. Arthur Herbert Whittingham was born at Dunedin, Now Zealand, on September 20, 1869. He was educated at Geelong Grammar School and Cambridge University. He went to Queensland in 1901 and engaged in pastoral pursuits. Mr. Whittingham owned racehorses and had won important races in Australia with some of them. He was married in June, 1913, to Miss Cecile V. Taylor, of Toowoomba. Mr. Whittingham was president of the United Graziers' Association of Queensland and a director of the Union Trustee Company and the Australian Mercantile Land and Finance Company.
