WILKINS' PLANS DEFEATED. FOG TOO GREAT A HANDICAP. (Received Juno 8, G. 25 p.m.) A. and N.Z.-Sun. NEW YORK, June 7. A message from Fairbanks, Alaska, states that fog, which last year prevented the exploration of the " blind spot " in the Arctic Sea, has again proved too great a handicap. Captain G. H. Wilkins, leader of the Detroit Arctic expedition, who had intended to try to fly to Greenland, now announces the cancellation of further attempts this season.
