YOUTHFUL STOWAWAYS.
SYDNEY BOYS ON AORANGI. ORDER MADE FOR RETURN. Two youths, aged 16 years 9 months and 14 years 6 months, who were discovered ci board the Aorangi on the day following bor departure from Sydney, pleaded guilty in the Police Court yesterday to charges of stowing away. Senior-Sergeant Edwards said each boy was the only child of his parents. The younger stated he wished to go to an ncicl.i who had a ranch in Kansas, while the elder wished to go to sea. An officer of the ship gave evidence regarding the discovery of the boys on the morning after the departure of the vessel.
"My word, but I will be glad when I get home again," said the older hoy, when questioned "by the magistrate, Mr. McKean.
Both accused were remanded for a week, the magistrate directing that if/ possible the\ should be returned to Sydney by tho Maiama, which is due to sail from Auek'and on Friday. The younger hoy was ordered to remain in the care of ihe juvenile probation officer, and the older in the care of the Salvation Army.
