MAYORS TAKE OFFICE.
NEW TERMS OPEN TO-DAY. The Mayor of Auckland, Mr. G. Raildon, will commence his second term of office to-day. He will renew the oath of appointment at the first meeting of the council on Thursday, May 12, when the members of the council will also be sworn in. The installation of Mr. A. E. Greens!a<ie as Mayor of Xorthcote will take plaee at noon to-day. Mr. E. G. Skeates, who was re-elected unopposed as Mayor of Birkenhead, will be installed in office this evening, when the members of the new council will also take their seats.
