LAWN TENNIS.
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. The monthly meeting of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association was held last evening, Mr. E. W. Griffiths presiding. With reference to animal subscriptions it was decided thstt levies p.hoi!ld be made as follows:—For every member of the association belonging to a city club, controlling four or more court,s. the sism of la 9d: 01 owning less than four courts. Is. For members belonging to a country club or country sub-association the sum of 3d. with a minimum payment of £1 3s. A coyntry club or rab-Mwdation was defined as one *itoa'ed more than 12 miles from the chief pe*t office whose rnemUn were not playing ii> the 'association inter-club matches Mr. Klks moved that the rale recently passed dealing with the selection of teams sole'iy from the positions occupied by players on In* ladder, should be cancelled, and that in future the ladder should be need only as a guide. The motion was carried unanimously. The valuation of materia! «fd plant at Stinky Street was left in the hands of Mr. Hickson.
