A NELSON LETTER.

GIFT TO AUCKLAND LIBRARY. MR. MOSS DAVIS' DONATION. Mr. Moss Davis, having the city of Auckland in mind, has purchased at Christie's an original letter written by Lord Nelson a few weeks before the Battle of Trafalgar. Mr. Davis has decided to present this letter to the Auckland City Council for the citizens of Auckland. The High Commissioner, to whom it has been handed, suggests that the document should be placed in the manuscript section of the Public Library. In this letter, which is written in a very clear band. Nelson gives instructions to one of his captains. It is dated "Victory, Octobsr 15, 1805."
