Kearly half the old asphalt surface of Grafton Bridge had beoii torn up before sunset last evening in connection with the repaying which has to be completed this week The gang continued working in the evening by lamp light, and a short section of new asphalt was laid at the Grafton Road end of the bridge. Over 300 tons of material will L» required for J the new surfacing.
