PLAGUE OF FOXES.
RAIDS ON POULTRY. A plague of foxes within 24 miles of London was recently reported, as well as extensive raids by the animals on poultry. Owing to beading developments they had been routed oat from the Virginia Water area, and in consequence took up their abode a few miles jast beyond the village of Thorpe, between Chertsey and Egham. The Cher'sey Urban District Council received a complaint from Sir. F. IX Honnor, of Thorpe, -who stated he had lost £9O worth of poultry by raids from the foxes which came from * land which was the property of the comscsL. The coandl were asked to destroy the foxes and to compensate Mr. Homier. The connc?l denied liability, but instructed their survivor fo drsfror the foxes.
