APPROACHING ROYAL VISIT. HIGH RENTALS FOR TENTS. Some oi the elaborate ten'; that are being erected in connection with ,tfae official opening of the new Australian capital at Canberra for the accommodation of visitors during the Royal tour will cost more than many comfortably furnished Hats do tu Sydney. Nine guineas a week will be charged for several of the tents if they are occupied by one person The rate will be increased to £l2 12s for two persons, and £ls 15s for three Meals will be provided at the rate of 12s 6d a day for each person. Electric light will be available throughout big motor parking area, and all tents will nave -timber floors, and even canvas carpets The furnishing of Parliament House was almost- finished some time ago, when a large assortment of cutlery went astray, fn fact, 5000 knives, forks and spoons, intended to be used at the Royal banquet, could not be found For 15 days the telegraph wires were kept busy in an endeavour to trace the missing property. Finally the missing cutlery was found in a railway truck mixed up with a lot of sewing machines, and dry ginger ale.
