EXPLOSION OF CONTAINER. MAORI'S DEATH IN HOSPITAL. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.) rUTARURU, Friday. The Maori, Tuta Kingi, who was severely scalded by the explosion of a tar container which was being heated during work on the road near Putaruru, 10 days ago, succumbed to his injuries at 2 a.m. to-day in the Waikato Hospital. Kingi, who was about 36 years old, was a married man with a family. He came from Raglan, whei'e he was a prominent footballer for years. bailer for years, An inquest was opened and adjourned.
