THE OLYMPIC GAMES. TRAINING IN AUSTRALIA. A. and N.Z. , SYDNEY, April 8. A meeting of the Australian Olympic Federation decided to provide each State with a sum not exceeding £IOO for coaching candidates selected to represent Australia at the Olympic games at Amsterdam in 1928. It was also decided to approach the International Olympic Council with a request that the next games should be held in Australia; in 1936. SWIMMING CONTEST. BOY DEFEATS CHAMPION, \ (Received April 8, 7 p.m.) Sun. NEW YORK, April 7. A schoolboy, George Kojac, aged 17, at Chicago defeated the champion swimmer Weismulier in a 150 yards breaststroke race, the time being 2.19 1-5, the best yot recorded. Kojac won by four yards.
