NATIVES' ASSOCIATION.
THE LOCAL ELECTIONS.
A well-attended meeting of the New Zealand Natives' Association was held on Thursday evening, Mi'. F. W. Schramm presiding. It was resolved not to identify the association with any particular aspirant for municipal honours, but that members should use their discretion in voting for any candidate who would support the country in general and the association in particular. It was reported that various social organisations ■would be conducting sou P kitchens for the unemployed in Auckland during the winter. It was decided to heartily co-operate in the movement. It was decided to congratulate a New Zealand company on having produced a local film.
