WAIRAU RIVER FLOODING.
DEPUTATION TO MINISTERS. [BY TELEGRAPH.— rEESS ASSOCIATION.] BLENHEIM, Friday A deputation organised by the Wairau Ratepayers' Association proceeded to Wellington yesterday to wait on the Minister of Public Works, Internal Affairs, and Native Affairs, with the object of protesting against the Wairau River Board's policy as it affects the Spnng-creek-Tuamarina district, and asking that the Government will set up a commission to inquire into and recommend ways and means of obtaining relief from floods in the Wairau River. The deputation is armed with petitions signed by 3000 i:atepayers.
