COLLISION AT CROSSING.
CAR STRfKES GOODS TRAIN. t FARMER'S v FORTUNATE ESCAPE. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT. 1 ■ HAMILTON. Thursday. A collision between a goods train from Huntly and a motor-car driven by Mr. T. Shaw, farmer, of Matangi, occurred at the Norton Road railway crossing at Frankton last evening. The cat struck one of the leading trucks and was carried on to the cattle stops. Fortunately, the tram was travelling slowly. No one was injured and, except for a bent mudguard, no serious damage was done. The car was able to proceed under its own power after the mishap.
