AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. INVESTMENT SECTIONS ACTIVE. Goocl business in investment stocks was done on the Auckland sharemarket yesterday. in Government securities, there was sale in War Loan, 1930,, 4£, per cent, at £97 10s, with further demand at that figure, sellers not quoting. Soldiers' Inscribed, 1933, Si per cent., were again done at £lOl ss. in commercial debentures New Zealand Breweries changed hands at 23s 9d, a drop of 3d on the price paid last week. In banks New Zealands recovered to 60s, sale being made at that figure, buyers offering 59s 9f! for additional parcels. There was demand for New South Wales at £49 15s, but holders did not respond. Unions of Australia had firm inquiry at £ls lis, sellers asking 3s more. In insurance quotations for South British eased 6d to 55s 6d, with buyers steady at 54s 6d. In gas Audklands sold at 23s Id, more being available at that figure, buyers 235. In miscellaneous there* was a late offer of £6O 10s for Colonial Sugars, without result. Wilsons Cement had sale at 35s 3d, a decline of 6d on the selling figure of late last month. In mining Waihis were done at 17s, the demand being firm at, that price.
