Notice is hereby given that The Central Electric-Power Board proposes to raise a special loan under the provisions of The Local Bodies' Loans Act. 1026. The purpose for which the loan is required is for the construction and erection of transmission lines, transformer stations, and all fittings and appliances for conveying, transmitting and distributing electricity in the epeciai area defined hereunder, including the purchase of all necessary land, materials. plant and tools and all payments for labour, engineer's fees, _ plans, and supervision and for compensation to owners of property in respect of such vorks, and for the purchase of land and erection thereon of buildings for the work of the Board The sum proposed to be borrowed is '£20,000. The proposed security for the loan is a special rate of one penny in the pound on the ratable value on the basis of capital value of all ratable property in the Whangomarino Special Area, being the Waerenga and Rangiriri Subdivisions of the Whangamarinq Road District as the same are defined in the New Zealand Gazette on the 14th day of .Tune. 1894. - ; It is proposed that the loan shall be repayable within a period not exceeding Thirty-six and a-hnlf years and to make provision for a sinking fund of not les3 than One per centum per annum It is proposed to pay out of the loan the preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the scheme for which the loan is raised, also the cost of raising the Joan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year.
