BOXING.
JAMITO-PURDY MATCH. - THE PRELIMINARY CONTESTS. Jamito arrived from Wellington yesterday and reported himself fit and well for the contest with Purdy on Monday evening. Patrons of the sport can see Jnmito in training daily at®lo a.m. at Bachelor's gymnasium. The fight promises to be a fast 10round exhibition. The plan is now open at Messrs. Carter and Asher'3. Prior to the principal fight preliminary bouts will be held as follows: Welter-weight.—Tunks v. Leslio. Feather-weight.—Taylor v. Poselwaite; Leslie v. Rickards: Wallace v. Wilson. Light-weight.—Broadfoot v. McKnight.
