The Royal train called at Newcastle, where, in spite of the pouring rain, Their Royal 'Highnesses were warmly greeted by large -crowds. Out of consideration for the Duke and Duchess their northern tour has been somewhat jmodified, in order to enable them to have some rest at the various stopping places.
