GOLF.
GLENDOWIE LADIES' CLUB. The Glendowio Ladies Golf Club opened the season with a flag match, which was won by Mrs. M. H. Miller, who holed out on the ISth green. The next match will be a medal competition to be played on April 20 for a trophy presented by Mias Arneil. Post entries will be received, players to choose partners. An "Open Day" will held on the Glendowie links on Thursday, May 5, when a medal handicap match will be played in two divisions, seniors and juniors: also a C grade match. Post- entries will bo received, players to choose partners. THE TAURANGA CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COIUIESrONDENT.I TAURANGA, Monday. The official opening of the Tauranga Golf Club took place on Saturday. Mixed foursomes were played, the«best card being returned by R. H. Phelan and Miss C. Humphreys. The fairways and greens are in splendid order. Many men members are joining the club and it is expected that the total membership will be considerably greater than in previous years.
