The annual meeting of the Waikato 'Agricultural and Pastoral Association was bold to-day, Mr. W. Newell presiding. Tha report and balance-sheet recorded a successful year, and a much improved financial position was disclosed. Commencing the year with a deficit of £B4 tin© association was now in credit to the extent of £97. The year's income amounted to £13,108. The sum of £360 was taken at the gates during the last show. An amount of £I2OO was allocated for prizes. The assets were shown an £9429, and the ca.pital account at £3636 16s 7d. The report stated that in spite of the unfavourable weather the 1926 show had proved a great suc.cesss. Extensive improvements had been carried out at the show ground«, involving an expenditure of approximately £350.
