SOLICITOR'S TRUST MONEY. I | j ACCOUNT NOT IN ORDER. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] ! WELLINGTON, Thursday. I The Court of Appeal to-day dealt with the case of the Law Society v. John Munro Gillies. Mr. H. von Haast appeared for the Law Socioty. The facts alleged were that Gillies 'failed to keep his trust account in order and received altogether a sum of over £SOO 'for his own use, being trust moneys. In one instance Gillies took over work for one Bonn, from Irwin and Irwin, and collected £176 8s lid, which Benn instructed him to return to Irwin and Irwin. This was not done, though Gillies stated he had done so. Gillies was struck off ( ,the rolls of the <Law Society and ordered' to pay £ls 15s costs.
