CARNIVAL AT TE AWAMUTU. [Bi TEI-EG2APH. —O'TN COHBESPONDENT. ] TE AWAMUTU, Tuesday. The Te> Awamutu Swimming Club held a carnival last evening, and the record attendance present included many neonje i'ram Cambridge, Hamilton and Otorohanga. The chief event was the South Auckland Boys' Championship. lOQyda. There were five. competitors, including Byrna and Speight,''from Cambridge. These two soon established a lead . and . turned together for the last lap. A thrilling struggle the full length, of the bath ended in a. dead-heat. The second stage of the Middlebrcok' Cup .(100yds.). also provided a good finish, it. C. Adams winning a well-judged race from R.
