NEW COLOUR EFFECTS.
Kasha and ombre cloths are greatly used- The former is expensive but delightful; it has s good many imitators. The ombre (or shadow) cloths are striking to see en masse. One edge is always very p ate—jast ere am or biscuit or cloudgrey —and then a whole colour-gradation develops till the other edge is dark brown, navy, tangerine, sapphire or emerald. | When osed for dr&ae* and coats we j generally see the dark edge at the h«n | and the lighter part near the face. In ; ad i:t:on to the ombre effects there are j wry attractive light-toned cloths with I deep border of stnp«s in colour contrast, ' or some bold geometric design, or one }of Bowers. All these things provide ixni metae variety in the make-op when | placed hi the hands of capable arid I artistic designers. In more delicate . fcbocss for evening' dresses, and for ! toeafcre wraps there are ombre velvet# | »od velvet-embossed rnnons that simply .-ire too tantalising to look at if they are | ootside the limits of the moderatdy-filled j perse.
