CARNIVAL AT MORRINSVILLE [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] MORRINSVILLE. 'Wednesday. The Morrinsville Swimming Club held its carnival last evening in the Morrinsville baths. The event was most successful, over 700 spectators being present. Among the competitors were Miss M. Farquhar (Auckland), and Miss M. Jepson (Otago). There were some very close finishes and good competition. Results were as follow: Boys' Handicap, 33 1-3 yards (under 16). —S. Speight (Cambridge), Is, 1; W. Cameron, Is, 2; J. Price, 2s, 3. Time 21 2-5 s. Ladies' 33 1-3 Yards Handicap.—J. Parlour. 7s, 1; G. Pickering, 3s, 2; N. Coombe, 6s. 3. Time, 24 2-ss.
