SCHOOL COMMITTEE'S REMIT
[BY TZLEGEAFH. —PBESS ASSOCIATION.] INVERCARGILL. Wednesday. The annual conference of the South island Federation of School Committees opened to day, Mr. J. C. Somerville, o{ Dunedin, presiding. It was resolved that steps be taken to establish children's banks in all the primary schools. A remit m favour of abolishing home ?york was amended by altering the word k abolished to "modified."
