TO-DAY'S WEATHER,, HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECASTThe following weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. H. M. Vincent last' evening Cloudy and unsettled weather is indicated, with heavy and considerable rain following. Rivers flooded. Easterly to northeasterly winds, strong to gale. Seas heavy. A tropical disturbance of cyclonic character is at present centred in the vicinity of Lord Howe Island, north-west-ward of the Dominion, and is moving south-eastward. Stormy weather is expected over most of N§w Zealand, continuing for several days. Barometer, midnight, falling .. 29.65 in. Midnight, Sunday .. t.. 29.801n. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—Present indications are for variable and strong winds, north-east to south-east ruling; expect dull, warm and humid conditions.
