SUBURBAN TRAINS.
Sir, —It iti quite tuna that, the treat*, meat meted out to the workers travelling , upon the Auekland-Papakursi suburban trains was placed on record. The 5.17 p.m. train Auckland to Fapakura has been packed every sight this week. The. train has left Auckland with people standing not only in the carriages but also upon j the front and rear platforms of all cars, so much so that upon arrival of thffl > train at Newmarket it is almost impossible to open tho carriage platform gates* > Eveiy evening this week thcsire has only been sufficient seatiug accommodation I after the train leaves CHalmlm. The sainti state of affairs obtains with- the 6.39 a.m. ' Papakura-Auckland train. This is tho workers' train reaching Auckland at 7.43 a.m., and for some time past if- has been ( very much over-crowded as soon as it leaves Otahului, nitmy of trio Otahuhu passengers having to stand the whole of their journey.
