SCHOOL DENTAL CLINIC. FIRE BRIGADE'S MONTHLY RUN, [BY .TEI.KGBA.JI'If.—-OWN COHUBSrONDENT.) TAUXtANGA, Wednesday. A meeting of those interested in the establishment of a school dental clinic at Taurarsiga was held in .tho Town Hall last night. The coroner, Mr. C. Low, explained the steps already taken toward the appointment of a dental nurse and a letter from the acting-director of the Division of Dental Hygiene, Wellington, advised that the was in a position to offer the committee the services of a dental nurse, in April next. It was decided that a committee, to be called the Tauranga School Dental Clinic Committee be set up, the committee to comprise Mesdames and Christian, Messrs. B. C. Bobbins, G. T. Wright, J. Collard, C. F. Washer, B. P, Andrews, D. A. Ivory ' and P. M. O'Brien. Mr. Ivory was elected chairman of the committee and Mr. C. Lowe secretary and treasurer. The committee decided to go forward in regard to securing a room and making other arranger I merits for the establishment of the clinic, provided sufficient financial support is forthcoming. The monthly run in connection with the fire brigade's medal competition was held last Might and resulted Fireman E. Geary, 1; Fireman A. Stewart, 2; Fireman C. Handle, 3. The county clerk, Mr. A. 11. P. Briasco, in a report to the County Council, states that ail mileage returns are satisfactorily coming to hand each month and those for October and November have been forwarded to Rotorua. Mr I'riasco also reports that numerous complaints are . being received concerning l.he speed of pig-laden trucks on the Tauranga-To Puke Road *nd other roads, and stern measures are being taken to make an example of the offenders in the interests of public safety.
