REST ROOMS ON BEACHES. The Takapuna Borough Council mist last evening, the Mayor, Sir. J. I). Morison, presiding. Acting, upon a letter from the Women's Branch of' the Milfoird and Takapuna Ratepayers' Association, it was decided to recommend the incoming council to provide rest rooms for women and children on the Takapuna and Miiford beaches. Provision was mado by the council for placing two seats on each of the beaches. .It was also <Jecidcd to inquire from the trustees of the late • Mr. W. J. The conditions agreed to by the Auckland Harbour Board as governing the discharge of the borough sewage into Rangitoto Channel were approved, with a view to being embodied m- aii agreement.
