A tennis match played on the Taihape Club's courts between a Taihape B team and a representative team from the Railway Club resulted in a win for the town team bv 12 set 3 to 8. Browning, of Christchurch, has been appointed one of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association's selectors for tie New Zealand team to play the New South Wales team at Wellington on January 14 and 15.
