THISTLES ON A SECTION.
ONE TREE HILL PROBLEM. The classification of thistles «;> aoxfoat weeds evoked a protest from a member of the One Tree Hill Road Bo aid list evening, when a letter was received from a resident of Kowhai Road requesting 'the clearing of adjoining .sections. The chairman stated that the true Caledonian thistle was not a noxious weed within the meaning of the Act. An inspector had viiiited the locality and had decided in favour of the. thistles. It wai' resolved to advise f.|i«s complain act that tbera were lio grounds upon which the growth could be destroyed.
