DARK SIDE OF STRIKE.
A PISTRESSINCi Q.CGURRENC£. SCOTS MINER'S DISCOVERY. A distressing affair occurred in a two-apartment house at Cambuslang, Scotland, late -one Saturday night while the cc&l strike was in progress. Returning to his house after several hours' absence, William Nisbet, * a miner, who was on strike, found! the kitchen of the house in darkness. On striking a match he was to see in the bed his,, wife and three, children, all of them bleeding ifrom wounds in the neck. Near them was a blood-stained razor. Their names went* .Mary Nisbet, the wife; Alexander Nis-fcet, three years; Edward Nisbet, one sear and eight months; and Mary Nislset, .six months- were removed 'to the Royal Infirmary, where they were detained for treatment. On Saturday his wife was quite normal, and was. jokiijig because at that week-end they would have some fuel for a fire. The family had; been suffering considerable: privation. The couple had been about four years,' Nisbet's first wife dying when he was a prisoner of war in" Germany. The wife left a note on the mantelshelf;' spying that " she could stick it no longer.* ~ ' -
