SHOOTING FATALITY.
FIJIAN BOY'S DEATH. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. 3 SUVA. Deo. 9. A sad shooting fatality occured a week or so ago when a native named Sitivanu Bokai was walking through the bush followed by his nephew named Atonia Tugonu, a boy of ten years. The gun was loaded with shot, and was carried over the shoulder with the trigger at fullcock. As the gun was slipping from his shoulder Sitivanu tried to put it back into position and in doing so pulled the trigger, the full charge entering the boy's chest about the collarbone. Death must have been instantaneous.
