FIRE ON RIMUTAKA.
GARGO PARTLY DAMAGED. SOME MEAT CONDEMNED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 13. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Rimutaka, on which a fire broke out on November 5 when tho vessel was en route from New Zealand, has arrived here. After the extinction of the fire in the forward chamber 'tween decks personal effects, cases and meat which were burned were jettisoned. Wool, gum, copra casein and glaxo in No. 1 hold were partly damaged and steam affected cargo on the shelter deck. The authorities have condemned a quantity of meat which was damaged in No. 1 lower hold. The Rimutaka carried a full cargo of New Zealand produce which was loaded at Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, Bluff, Nel son, New Wanganui, Wellington, Napier and Auckland. The Auckland cargo totalled over 3000 tons and included 52,000 boxes of butter, 5000 crates of cheese, as well as tallow, hides, dried milk, copra and other general items. Tho cargo from the South included 13,000 boxes of butter and over 4000 crates of cheese. ________ _
