There was a largo attendance of the publics at the Town Hall to-day to witness the drawing of the Kia Ora (Cambridge) Art Union. Th«i principal prize-winners were: — First prize, £2OOO, 836752, 1). McKay, 25, Lome Street, Wellington; second prize, £IOOO,. F65011, F. McDonald, Chamberlain Street, Westport; third prize, £SOO, 851904, T. Reynolds, P.O. Box 1599, Wellington; fourth prize, £250, F67968, R. H. Carter, Hamilton North Post Office. TENNIS ASSOCIATION GAIN. PAYING OFF DEBENTURES. Auoklanders who invested in debentures issued by the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association in connection villi the acquisition and laying-out of the Stanley Street courts are to receive an unexpected Christmas box as the result of a decision mad© at the meeting of the association last evening. When Mr. E. W. Griffiths, president of fcho association, announced that the. association's share of the proceeds of the Big Three art union would he £4750, and that a cheque for £4OOO was already in hand, it was agreed that "(he debenture claims, amounting to £1950,. should he met immediately. Mr. G. L Taylor, who moved the resolution, remarked that tho money would be wanted for Christmas. Mr, Griffiths said the association would have a credit balance of £1839 after paying off the debentures.
