AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE GOOD BUSINESS TRANSACTED. Business was brisk on the Auckland shavemarket yesterday, . investment lines being in demand, while the mining section was again active. In Government securities War Loans, the 1930 issue, sold at £97 10s, with late inquiry at £97 ss, sellers £9B. Inscribed Stock, 1927-41, changed hands at £99, the Hrst sale for some months. More were available at'that price, buyers offering £9B. In banks New s!ealand rights had sale at 6s Bd, the current figure, at which there was late inquiry with no sellers. Unions of Australia again sold at £ls 4s 6d and the market closed at £ls 3s and £ls 6s. In insurance S»juth British sold a trifle better at 565. Nationals were done at 745, against 75s last week. Jiate inquiry was at 72s 6d, sellers quoting 755. New Zealands were steady at 37s and 38s. In miscellaneous Sanford.s changed hands at 23s 9d, a slight decline. Late offers of 23s 6d were met by quotations of 24s 3d. In mining interest again centred in Moanataiaris, the paid issue selling at 5s 8d and the contributing issue wavering between 5s 3d and 5s Id, the opening and closing prices. Kawaraus were done at 3s 4d and New Zeehans at Is 2d. The contributing issues of New Waiotahis and Lucky Shots changed hands at Is 3d and Is Id respectively. Waihis had sale at 17s 6d, the current price, and the market closed at 17s 4d and 17s 9d.
