MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. New Waiotahi.—The drive hilhvard on the Waiotahi-Cambria reef has been advanced Bft., and two sets of timbers have been placed in position. During the past week a few fine colours o£ gold were seen in the quartz taken down from tho hangingwall side of the reef. Firm mineralised country rock is making on to the wall 01 the reef, replacing the usual pug. formation which has hitherto been following the wall of the reef. The drive from the bottom of the winze on the footwall of the main reef has been driven across the reef a further distance of 4ft. The reef, is lairly heavily mineralised with iron pyrites along with zinc blend and antimony, which are favourable indications for gold 111 this re£»f. Kuranui.—The winze on Barry a reef from the lower level crosscut has been sunk 6ft.. a total of 24ft. The reef here averages loin, wide and is. a nice compact body of quartz, carrying iron, copper pyrites and silica. The country rock is still of a splendid class, being interlaced with mineral veins and quartz stringers. New Zeehan Consolidated. —North Rent: During the week, all work was confined to timbering as far as had been stripped and the leading stopo taken out. About 30ft. remains to bo opened out and timbered before we reach the face. Zeehan Block: Here, as in. the north reef, the men have been timbering up where the drive on the reef was opened out..
