MOTOR-BUS SERVICES.
Sir, —Now that the bus question is set tling clown it would !bo weu for the Cit? Council to mind its own business, whid in this connection is the running of it tramway service without loss to the rate payers. Let the enthusiastic advocates cf the motor-bus prove their own case aj their own cost and not at the cost of % city ratepayers. I can sea the day—no,, far distant—when the outer suburbs beyond the tram lines will bo pleading wit| the city to come over and help "then}. When that day comes the city should extend the area of its transit operations an) make the thickly populated areas helj the thinly settled districts. It can be dor 9 ; to the advantage of the whole of Creates Auckland. Meantime the city by buttinj in will get nothing but criticism and com plaint and will lose a good deal of goocj, solid cash. City Ratefayek,
